2007 Gemtree 'The Phantom' Petit Verdot

Dark fruits, so much blackberry; some touches of white pepper and mint; jammy, stewed, some floral tones. Fantastic fat acidity; mouthfeel is textured, thick and extracted; but the tannins have softened out, I remember drinking this a year ago an it was rather hard going. Its just mellowed out slightly, opening up, showing the fleshy dark fruits hidden inside, smooth yet big. Could probably keep a couple more years, but its drinking nicely now.
